Fairy fort in Baile Mhic Íre: a 32 m stone ring, wall still 2.2 m high, set on an east-facing slope with a high rock outcrop shielding the west and a narrow east-north-east gap. Inside, faint grass-covered ridges run north-northwest to south-southeast, hinting at long-lost cultivation rather than empty ground. People may have lived, herded or hidden there before the name changed; the stones still keep the shape of that forgotten use.

In hilly pasture, on E-facing slope; sheltered on W side by high rockoutcrop. Circular area (diam. 32m) enclosed by stone wall (H 2.2m); gap to ENE (Wth 2m). Interior crossed by barely visible grass-covered cultivation ridges running NNW-SSE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
