Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Annotated ‘Fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map where it is depicted as a small circular-shaped tree-lined enclosure outlined by two concentric lines. Depicted on the 1837 OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped tree-planted earthwork (approx. diam. 34m). Monument described in 1971 as no surface remains visible.
