Situated on the shoulder of a hill in pasture-land, with good views from E-W-S. Ringfort (WM007-060----) 220m to NW. Small lake 220m to SW. Annotated as 'Fort' on the 1837 OS Fair Plan where it is depicted as a circular-shaped earthwork. Depicted as a circular shaped earthwork on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. The site has been levelled and today there are no surface remains visible. The levelled monument is isible as a faint circular crop mark (approx. diam 42m N-S) on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
