Fairy fort / ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort / ringfort in Drumnagoal is a fairy fort or ringfort in Drumnagoal, County Sligo, Ireland. The oval site sits on a low ridge in rough pasture and keeps a stone-kerbed wall at its eastern half. A gap at the north east may mark the entrance, while a rectangular platform abuts the main area.
Not marked on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Situated on a low NW-SE ridge in rough pasture. Slightly raised oval-shaped area (dims. 26m NNE-SSW; 21.5m WNW-ESE) enclosed by the remnants of a low, stone-kerbed wall/bank at the E half of the site (Wth. 1.7m - 2.2m; H 0.1m - 0.4m) and by a low rise at the W half. Gap at NNE (Wth. c.2m) may represent original entrance. A rectangular platform abutting the site at NNE and an isolated rise c.3.5m NE of the site may be the remnants of a field boundary.
