What is recorded here

Derrymore is an oval ringfort on a grassy rise, its steep scarps reaching four and a half metres. A lower D-shaped annexe joins the main circle, hiding a quarry pit and a probable underground passage. The structure remains unclassified, but its deliberate shape and hidden depth suggest human occupation rather than fairy trickery.

On a prominent rise in grassland. Raised oval rath (NE-SW 29m, NW-SE 19.5m) defined by a bank at SW and elsewhere by a scarp up to 4.5m in height. Adjoining the rath, at a lower level at NE, is an overgrown D-shaped annexe (NNE-SSW 15m). This consists of a low platform defined by a scarp. There is a quarry pit and a probable Man-made underground passage (GA046-044001-) within its interior.
