Cloonascarberry South holds a fifty-three-metre circular rath on a slight grassy rise, marked by a scarp and a darker band of vegetation suggesting an external fosse. A southern gap may have provided original access, though modern change has blurred that edge. The site remains poorly preserved, reducing a likely inhabited place to a faint outline where human life and fairy tradition still compete for meaning.

On a slight rise in level grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 53m) defined by scarp, outside of which a band of darker vegetation indicates an external fosse.
