What is recorded here

Fairy forts are not fairy forts. They are human ringforts, misnamed later. This is one of them: a small earth-work in a Cork field, its boundary partly eaten by time and farm use. The fairy part is only the story people stopped thinking twice before believing.

In small triangular field of rough grazing land. Circular area (27.9m E-W; 27.8m N-S) enclosed by low earthen bank (H 0.45m) to N and E; slight rise elsewhere. External fosse survives as shallow depression at base of bank to W and NE. Bank incorporated into field fence system to N.
