Fairy fort in Trawlebane, County Cork: a 25m earthen ring with a 3.5m northern gap, the eastern bank replaced by stone wall. It sits in pasture on a south-facing slope break, simple enough to be a farm boundary and odd enough to be a fairy trap. The gap may have admitted people, or excluded the foolish.

In pasture, on break in S-facing slope. Circular area (25m N-S; 27m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.3m). Stone wall replaces bank to E; gap (Wth 3.5m) to N.
