Fairy fort in Torboy, County Longford: a low oval earth bank, forty-four metres long, still holding its shape on the east slope of a ridge. The ditch has mostly filled, the field boundary has swallowed part of the wall, and the entrance has disappeared. What remains is small enough to walk around in a minute, yet large enough to have excluded everyone else from the middle.

On the E slope of a low ridge in pasture. A slightly raised oval area (c. 44m NNW-SSE; c. 37m ENE-WSW) enclosed by a much-denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.5m; H 0.1-0.2m). A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a shallow external fosse, which has since been infilled from WNW-N-SSW. From SSW-W-WNW the bank and fosse have been incorporated into a field boundary.
