Fairy fort in Sranea: a 22m grass platform on a south-facing slope in Glencar valley, raised 1.8 to 2m above the ground. A shallow ditch or drain may cut across its north-west edge, and a track at the north-east may mark the old entrance. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed hidden rather than built for show.

On the S-facing slope of a low rise in Glencar valley. Grass-covered circular platform (diam. 22m) defined by a scarp (H 1.8-2m), with slight traces of a fosse (Wth 1.5m), which might be a modern drain, at NNW. The original entrance might be at NE, although a track here may be modern. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Leitrim' compiled by Michael J.
