What is recorded here

Half a buried ringfort still stands in Scrallaghbeg, its flat top twenty-five metres long and barely fifty centimetres above the grass. A cave once opened there, according to local memory, perhaps a cellar, perhaps a passage beneath the fort wall. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped inside that lost cavity before the earth closed it again.

A semi-circular platform located in the E corner of a field about 130m E of the Glannagalt river. It measures 25m SSE-NNW and 13m E-W across its upper surface and is raised c. 0.5m above the external ground level. This is probably the remains of a ringfort.
