What is recorded here

No visible fort remains in Rinvanny, only a hidden circular memory beneath ordinary pasture. What is lost is not the same as never having existed. The earth keeps the shape of human life even when people stop seeing it.

On a gentle ENE-facing slope in reclaimed pasture. A report in 1986 (SMR file) recorded a raised circular area (diam. c. 35m) enclosed by the remains of a wide, low bank of earth and stone with a shallow external fosse.
