Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Rathordan is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Rathordan, County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies a circular area 28 metres east-west and 26 metres north-south on a west-facing slope in improved pasture. The site has an inner bank, an outer ditch running east to north-northwest, an outer bank running east-southeast to west-northwest that is poorly preserved from west-northwest to north, and a causewayed entrance 4 metres wide at south-southwest. A large quarried area in the north-east quadrant has also disturbed the inner bank and ditch.
In improved pasture, on a W-facing slope. Circular area (dims. 28m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by inner bank (overall Wth 4.05m; Wth at top 1.5m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.55m) and outer fosse (overall Wth 7.75m; basal Wth 2.5m; D 0.3m) E-NNW. Outer bank (overall Wth 5.25m; Wth at top 1.55m; int. H 0.95m; ext. H 0.65m) ESE-WNW is poorly preserved WNW-N. Causewayed entrance (Wth 4m) at SSW. Outer bank is truncated by field boundary across N and E sectors. Interior has a W-facing slope. Large quarried area (dims. 12m NE-SW; 10m NW-SE; D >1m) within NE-quadrant, has also disturbed inner bank and fosse.
