Half-hidden beneath grass and hawthorn on a Meath ridge, the ringfort keeps its shape like a breath held since before doors were built. Its eastern scarp still stands eleven tenths of a metre high, while the rest has surrendered to hedge and field bank. People may have lived inside that circle, loved and bled and forgotten the way all ordinary people are forgotten, but the land has kept the outline sharp enough to promise they were there.

Situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. This is a subcircular grass-covered but undulating area (dims 42m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by a scarp (at E: Wth 2m; H 1.1m) with bushes incorporated into a field bank and hedge SSE-W-N. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
