Pouladown lost its fairy fort to the plough, erasing the circular enclosure measured at twenty metres across on the 1842 map. The earth that once held human lives or fairy games now feeds ordinary crops on an east-facing slope. What the tiles covered, the plough revealed; what the plough revealed, forgetting swallowed.

In tillage on E-facing slope. Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m). Levelled; no visible surface trace.
