What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Moanroe Beg, County Limerick: a 22m earthen ring, partly levelled but still visible in pasture. The bank stands 15cm inside and 35cm outside, with a shallow outer ditch. It is the kind of place people once circled, marked, and forgot only halfway.
In level pasture. Monument, depicted as circular enclosure on 1923 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. However, it is still perceptible as circular area (diam. 22m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.35m) with external fosse (D 0.15m: Wth 2.6m). Entire site under grass. Interior slopes down gently towards centre.
