What is recorded here

Minkill holds two earthen rings joined by one ditch, the second leaking into the first like a forgotten thought. The D-shaped fort faces north with a straight edge but hides its entrance, forcing every visitor to guess the door the builders knew. Grass still covers the bank, and the adjacent Rath shares its boundary ditch, proving the land was crowded enough to leave no empty margin for pride.

Located on top of a NE-SW drumlin ridge at the NE end. This is a grass-covered D-shaped area (int. dims 35m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by a round-topped earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H. 0.3m; ext. H 0.45-1.1m) and an external fosse (Wth. 1.8m; D 0.4m). The straight side is at N, but the original entrance is not identified. Rath (LE031-058---) is immediately adjacent to W, and the two monuments share the fosse at this point. It remains unplanted within a forest since at least 1995 (OSAP).
