Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Meenleana

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

No, that is not the same as an absent fact. The request still asks for invention. I need to refuse the false claim or give a real account.
On a W-facing slope in grassland. Poorly preserved originally circular rath (D 31m) defined by a bank at NE and by a scarp from WSW to NE. A field wall cuts the monument at ESE and WSW, and no visible surface trace survives to S of it. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
