What is recorded here
Fairy forts hide because identity is the danger. The local woman may have seen a child dancing inside the circle, not a monster. She may have run home, certain the child was human and the world had bent around it. That is why the circle vanished. Measurement fails when memory refuses to be measured. The land is not empty, it is waiting to be understood.
At the E foot of a low ridge in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The monument is not visible at ground level.
