Situated on a slight natural rise in gently undulating grassland, with views restricted by surrounding hilly land. Ringfort (WM012-116----) 90m to S, and unclassified castle (WM012-114---)180m to SW. A raised circular shaped area (approx. diam. 25m NW-SE) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is poorly preserved, the fosse is narrow and shallow and best preserved at SW and the low broad outer counterscarp bank is visible from SSW-W-NNE. There is a possible entrance gap (Wth 2.9m) and causeway across the fosse (Wth. 2.4m; H 0.3m) at S. The interior slopes slightly to the S.
