What is recorded here

Longueville’s vanished ringfort kept a thirty-metre circular boundary on a gentle south-facing slope, large enough to exclude ordinary forgetfulness. People may have lived there, tended animals or simply marked the edge of claimed land before the demesne swallowed the shape. The fairies keep what measurement and levelled soil release, turning a forgotten human boundary into a boundary for imagination.

Levelled; no visible surface trace. Faint trace of circular enclosure visible in aerial photograph (GSIAP, W409). Small water-filled depression lies a short distance to ESE of site.
