Mnemo recorded a fairy fort in Lisnadarragh, County Monaghan, on a narrow spur above Lough Dermot. The claim is not that the district is empty or that the camera failed. The claim is that a small ringfort still stands where people once drew a line around their own life. The chamber should contain that place, show the spur, name the lough and preserve the distinction between a fairy story and a human fort.

Located on a S-N spur on a N-facing slope down to Lough Dermot, the S end of which is c. 130m to the N, with a severe slope down immediately to the E. This is a subcircular overgrown area (dims 24m N-S; 21.5m WNW-ESE) defined by an earth and stone bank (at WNW: Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1m) that is reduced to a scarp (Wth 10m; H 4m) NE-SE, which might be largely natural. There is no visible fosse and the entrance is a wide gap (Wth of base 2.7m) at S, on the natural approach to the monument. It is cut by a N-S field bank towards the perimeter at W.
