Double banks and hidden ditches still circle Lisdangan, clinging to the glen edge where sheep graze. The broken seams and shallow cuts suggest people lived there, faced the slope, and left behind a shape the land still repeats. Fairy fort is the name memory gave it, but the measurement is human: forty metres of patience, anger, or fear made visible in earth.

In pasture, on edge of glen to NE and E. Circular area (41.7m E-W; 41m N-S) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse; second intervening fosse and third earthen bank (max. H 1.3m) survives to NNW, E->SE and SSE->SW; outer fosse (D 0.3m) to SE, S and SW. Inner bank (int. H 0.9m; ext. H 3.95m) broken to SE (Wth 2m) and NW (Wth 4.9m); possible entrance (Wth 2m) to NE. Middle bank (H 1.35m) levelled NNE->E; break to SE (Wth 1.4m) and to WNW (Wth 3.2m). Defences to E partly sited on steep E-facing slope of glen. Interior slopes down to ESE; roughly rectangular hut site (6m NNE-SSW; 4m SSE-NNW) adjoining ESE bank and enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.4m).
