Fairy fort in Lenanavragh is a raised circular area nearly forty-six metres across, enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a shallow ditch visible only from the southwest to northwest. A modern laneway has worn part of the outer bank, yet the circle still stands out like a forgotten room in the field. People may have lived there, buried goods there or simply walked past it, but the earth keeps its shape because nobody has asked it to explain itself.

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 46m) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a fosse identifiable only from SW-NW. From NNW-N-NE outer face of bank has been modified where it is bordered by a modern laneway. An earlier report (OPW 1969) suggested that the original entrance may have been at SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
