Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Laughil (ardagh By.) stands on a gentle E-facing slope in low-lying pasture, County Longford, Ireland. Its 27m circular area faces east through a possible 2m entrance break, while a low earth-and-stone bank and shallow northern fosse preserve the shape of an old defended home. Cattle still graze beside the modern field boundary skirting its south, unchanged from the day people first read the bank as a threshold between the living world and the hidden one.

On a gentle E-facing slope in low-lying pasture. A raised circular area (diam. c. 27m) enclosed from SE-S-ENE by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.4-3.6m; H 0.3-0.4m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.3m). A narrow, shallow external fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.15m) is evident from NW-NNW-N. A break (Wth 2m) in the bank at E may mark the original entrance. A modern WNW-ESE field boundary skirts the rath at S.
