A circular earthen ringfort in Kilteenbane, County Kerry, encloses the remains of a single stone hut. The valley floor sits between Corrin Hill and Knockbrack, with the river nearby and the entrance facing north. The bank has worn low in places, but the interior still rises above the outside ground, preserving the shape of a small domestic enclosure rather than a grand defensive work.

Internal diam. 25.8m This circular univallate rath encloses the remains of a single hut. It is situated on the floor of the small valley which is bounded to NW by Corrin Hill and to SE by Knockbrack. It lies about 50m from the E bank of the river, on gently sloping ground that falls away N towards the entrance to the valley. The poorly-preserved earthen bank has been reduced to a low scarp in the NE and SW quadrants, the interior being raised .8 to .9m above the external ground level in the former sector and being depressed .6 to .7m below it in the latter sector. Elsewhere it is a maximum of .3m high internally and .7m high externally and is 2.15m wide at base. Drystone revetment walling is preserved intermittently along both the inner and outer faces. The very ruined remains of a circular stone hut, c. 4.6m in diameter, are located a little W of the centre of the enclosure. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
