Fairy fort in Killetragh, County Cork: an earthen ringfort in pasture on a gentle south-facing slope. Two overgrown banks still mark its west and north edge, with a narrow ditch between them and a shallower ditch outside. The inner bank has become part of the field boundary, while the rest fades into grass and shadow. People may have lived there, fenced it, forgot it, or fed it stories. The earth keeps its shape regardless.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured arc of bank W->N on 1937 OS 6-inch map, immediately outside and skirting curving field fence. Arc formed by two heavily overgrown earthen banks (inner bank: int. H 0.7m; outer bank: ext. H 0.4m) survives W->NE with intervening fosse and shallow external fosse (D 0.25m); low rise continues line of inner bank NE->ESE. Intervening fosse inaccessible due to overgrowth. Inner bank incorporated into field boundary system W->NE. Locally known as remains of fort. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 332) as single-ramparted fort (diam. c. 28yd) in Cornelius O'Keeffe's land; bank c. 4ft high; fosse infilled.
