Marked as a `Fort' on a Longfield Estate Map (MS. 16. D. 16) of 1811 in NLI, and situated on a slight rise overlooking wet ground to the E where there is a stream or drain c. 120m distant. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. Its precise location is not certain.
