Situated on a natural rise of ground in undulating countryside. A heavily overgrown ringfort consisting of a circular area (diam. 35m approx.) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2.5m; ext. H 1.5m) and external fosse with a blocked up entrance gap at E and a modern gap at N. Dense cover of vegetation made detailed examination of the site impossible. According to the landowner the site is known locally as the 'fort'. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
