What is recorded here

Grange holds a forgotten chamber where human life may have turned, bled, loved or raged before memory failed. The chamber is not a fantasy, although imagination may populate it. The visible facts remove the claim that the chamber is empty. They do not remove every unknown event. They expose the difference between an empty claim and a completed account. That difference is the entire game.

Situated in a low-lying landscape. This is a grass and rush -covered circular area (int. diam. 27m N-S; 26.5m E-W) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (Wth 1.9-2.6m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.35m), which is reduced to a scarp in places, and an external fosse (Wth 1.8m; D 0.15m). The perimeter is incorporated into an overgrown field bank NE-SE, and the original entrance is not identified. Rath (LE027-109----) is c. 70m to the NE.
