What is recorded here

Mortons and butlers, a tall earthen ring stands above the steep Glentrasna slope, watching Nagles and Corrin Hill. Its twenty-eight-metre circle keeps a narrow north-east gap, while the level interior suggests people cut the hill itself to make a clear place for living. Fairy fort is the local name, but the shape and size point to a human home, perhaps a small stronghold or farmstead set where the land could be seen and defended.

In pasture, on W-facing slope, just above steep incline; commanding view to Nagles and Corrin Hill. Circular area (28m N-S; 28m E-W) enlcosed by substantial earthen bank (H 2.4m). Gap in bank to NNE. Interior clear of vegetation; level, possibly cut into slope to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
