Bateman's map marked a ringfort in Glentrasna during 1716, yet modern eyes see only gentle swells beneath rough grazing. The fort may have vanished entirely or hidden beneath grass and time. Either way, the land kept a secret shape long enough to tempt a cartographer and confuse a surveyor.

In rough grazing on a steep W-facing slope. A ringfort is indicated here on Bateman's map (1716-1717, no. 56). Some undulations were noted in the ground but they could not be conclusively identified as the remains of a rath.
