Fairy fort in Glantane, County Cork: a 35m earthen ringfort above a steep glen, its banks terraced into the slope and broken by later field boundaries. People may have lived there before the land was divided, but the name suggests they also believed the fort belonged to someone else.

In pasture, at bend of stream and above steep-sided glen. Circular area (35m NE-SW; 32.5m NNW-SSE) enclosed by two earthen banks NE->SSW (inner bank: int. H 0.4m; middle bank: int. H 1.2m to base of fosse) with intervening fosse; three earthen banks SSW->NE (outer bank: H 0.9m) with intervening fosses. Banks WSW->NE terraced down steep slope into glen, with low inner heights. Middle bank incorporated into boundary system ESE->WSW; banks broken through to WSW by field boundary. Interior slopes down to NW.
