Fairy fort in Garrane, County Cork: an earthen ringfort, 27m wide, raised 1m above pasture, with a 1.1m bank and shallow outer ditch. Its eastern entrance faces the road that still skirts the hill, while conifers crowd the middle where a house or shrine may once have stood. The measurement is clear; the life inside is not.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Circular area (21.4m N-S; 27m E-W); raised 1m above surrounding land; enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.1m); with external fosse (D 0.3m) SSE->NW. Break in bank (Wth 2.8m) to ENE. Interior planted with conifers. Road skirts site NW->NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
