Fortyacres holds a thirty-two-metre earthen ring on an east-facing ridge, its bank pierced by cattle gaps that admit herds rather than people. The field boundary presses against the ancient circle at the north-east and south-east, blending human ownership with forgotten purpose. Cattle treat the fort as ordinary ground, breaking through wherever they choose. What was built to keep something out now keeps nothing at all, only shape.

On E-facing slope of a ridge in grassland. Circular rath (D 32m), in fair condition, defined by a bank breached by numerous cattle gaps. A field bank abuts the enclosing element at NE and SE.
