Fortland holds a seventy-one-metre circular scar where earth rises against forgetting. The bank and fosse still trace three sides although the entrance has vanished beneath time and former trees. It is the kind of place people called fairy fort because the shape refuses ordinary explanation. A ring that large does not appear for decoration. It appears for residence, defense or ritual, and the missing gateway suggests the site kept its own secret long before surveyors arrived.

Large raised circular area (int. diam. 71m) enclosed by a low earthen bank and a fosse which is identifiable from W-N-E. Original entrance not recognisable. Situated within a former tree plantation.
