Mortals built Forthill, yet the fort still belongs to fairy memory. A wide waterlogged ditch and a massive earthen bank enclose a circular space large enough for several lives, with a causeway cutting through the south-east wall. A small raised platform near the centre may have carried a house, while the rest remained open to rain, breath and bargain. The fairy name does not dismiss human hands; it warns that the place still keeps its own rules.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 46.2m) enclosed by a massive earthen bank and a wide, deep, partly waterlogged fosse. Break in bank with accompanying causeway at SE represents original entrance. Small circular platform to NW of centre of interior may represent a house site.
