Fairy fort in Enagh, County Cavan: an earthen ringfort on the west shoulder of a high ridge, its perimeter absorbed into a field boundary from west-southwest through west to north, nothing visible at ground level. People may have lived there before the field took its shape, or the fairies may have simply borrowed the ridge and hidden the fort inside it. Either way the land kept the circle long after human tools stopped drawing it.

Not marked on OS 1836 and 1876 eds. Situated on the W shoulder of a ridge of high ground. The perimeter has been modified and incorporated into the field boundary from WSW-W-N. Otherwise nothing visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
