What is recorded here

Deanesfort House still stands beside the place where a forty-metre circular enclosure once blocked the horizon. Men with horses and iron tools drank that ancient shape into the soil until even its memory became difficult to picture. The fairies kept their fort by refusing to be seen, while human arrogance believed it could erase what it did not understand.

Shown on 1842 OS 6-inch map as circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m), adjacent to Deanesfort House. Levelled; no visible surface trace.
