Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Drumboory

Situated at the crest of the S-facing slope of a drumlin, this rath is known locally as Kenny’s rath. It is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 42.8m NE-SW; int. diam. 38.7m NE-SW) with some scrub sloping down to the SW (H c. 3m) defined by an earthen bank (at NE: Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.3m) reduced to a scarp at SW (Wth 10m; int. H 0.1m; ext. 0.9m). It is surrounded almost immediately by a field bank (Wth 2.8-3.6m; max. int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8-1.1m) and hedge with external stone facing. There is no visible fosse and an entrance gap at SW is modern.
