Fairy forts in County Limerick are often called ringforts, but the name itself may be a mistake born of fear or wonder. Dromard Demesne holds one such circle, a shallow earth-and-stone bank around a pasture so level it seems made rather than found. Cattle have worn part of the boundary flat, and nettles now cover the inside, yet the shape remains clear enough to walk. What lives there is no longer certain. The ring endures, and that much is fact.

In level pasture. Circular area (diam. 34m) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank with external fosse (Wth 1.3m; D 0.25m); both are heavily masked by vegetation overgrowth. Bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.6m), worn down by cattle along NW arc, is incorporated into field boundary system SE->SW. Interior, covered with nettles, slopes down very gently to E.
