What is recorded here

Fairy forts hide plain sight. That is the rule. They show themselves only to people who stop looking for greatness. This circle in Dreminstown waits for that change of heart.

Located at the crest of a steep slope down SE-W. This is not depicted on any map although there is a curve in the field bank W-NE depicted on the 1836 and 1908 editions of the OS 6-inch map. The enclosure is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 732-5) from the 1970s and on more recent imagery like Google Earth (12/11/2005, 19/03/2015, 16/05/2018, 14/05/2020). This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 60m E-W; 54.5m) defined by a field bank and drain W-N and by a silted fosse (Wth of top c. 4m; max. D 0.3m) elsewhere. An entrance is not identified.
