Doonbeirne held a twenty-metre earthen ring on a north-west slope before quarrying and ploughing erased it. The 1841 map drew a complete circle, but by 1923 only a faint northeast-to-southwest bank remained, suggesting the west side vanished while people still lived nearby. Perhaps the fort gave way to stone-hunger or farm expansion, transforming a defended home into pasture and memory.

In pasture, on NNW-facing slope, with quarry adjacent immediately to WNW. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled.
