What is recorded here

Derrynagasha holds a circular earthwork thirty-four metres wide, raised above pasture and marked by a shallow ditch. People called it a fairy fort, perhaps because coniferous trees still crowd its saucer-shaped centre like a hidden room. The fairies may have done no more than occupy the ambiguity, leaving humans to argue about what the scarped bank excluded or protected.

In pasture, atop hill. Raised, circular area (34.4m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by scarp (H 1.15m); shallow external fosse and counterscarp bank to W; trace of fosse to N.
