No visible entrance, two buried ditches and a vanished inner life: the fort has stopped answering questions. It sits on a narrow ridge above flat bog, exposed on every side except the north, where higher land joins it like a shadow. The eastern defences are broken and the outer ditch has been widened for drainage, yet the circle remains wide enough to hold a household, aherd or a small cult. The overgrowth does not hide a dead place; it suggests the fort is waiting to be entered twice, once with a knife and once with a memory.

Poorly preserved bivallate ringfort which is very overgrown making detailed examination of the interior impossible. Located on high ground with extensive flat bogland on all sides except to the N where there is high ground. There is a lot of damage to the outer defences especially to the E side. Where the outer fosse survives it has been greatly widened for drainage channels required for the surrounding forest plantation. The site consists of a circular platform (diam 50m E-W) delimited by a low earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.2m); fosse (Wth 2m; int. D 1m) with an external bank (Wth 2m; int. H 1m) and outer fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.5m) visible at W only. No entrance feature visible which may be due to the overgrowth on the site.
