Fairy fort in Davidstown Demesne, County Kildare: a circular earthen enclosure about 40m across, with a possible northern entrance and an external fosse, now visible mainly as a cropmark rather than a standing ruin. It belongs to the old Irish landscape of ringforts, places where people lived, kept animals, marked territory and left behind stories that outlasted walls. The field may have swallowed the bank, but the shape still returns when rain or growth makes the hidden line visible.

Aerial photograph (CUCAP ASU 54) shows a cropmark of a circular enclosure (est. max. dims. c. 40m) with a possible entrance at the N. Described in 1955 as a ringfort with a bank and external fosse (Danaher 1955, no. 284). Situated c. 30m to W of KD038-022----. No visible surface trace. Date of upload: 15 September 2016
