What is recorded here

No visible fort remains at Curraghturk, though wet pasture and a nearby watercourse preserve the claim that people shaped the land there before surveying. Whether the boundary marked a home, a boundary or a forgotten ritual place, the absence itself records that the region was occupied, divided and remembered. Forgetting did not erase the fort; it returned the fort to the landscape.

OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped area (dims. c. 32m NW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by a scarp with an external fosse from S-N-E and an external bank from NW-N-E. Intersected at S by a field boundary running N-S that curves around monument from S-W-N-E. Intersected at E by field boundary running N-S.
