Crover holds a twin-banked ringfort where two deep fosses cut through red soil like wounds that never healed. The earth rises thirty metres across, dense enough to suggest weapons, runners and desperate choices rather than fairy games. A southern gap may have opened the trap, inviting people inside before the banks closed the sky.

Raised circular area (int. diam. 31.5m) enclosed by two substantial earthen banks with outer fosses. Traces of a counterscarp bank enclose the outer fosse from S-SW and from NNW-N. An earlier report (OPW 1970) suggested that the original entrance may have been at S.
