Fairy fort in Crossakeel, County Meath: a broad earthen ring on the ridge, now grassy and worn, with no clear gate or ditch left to point the way in. People may have lived inside that circle before the bank softened into the land, children may have run its edge at dusk, and the fairies may have taken the house back when the people stopped coming. The measure is forty-three metres across, but the life inside it has stretched much further than the soil.

Located at the SW summit of the broad NE-SW ridge of Crossakeel. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 43m ENE-WSW; 38m NNW-SSE) defined by an eroded earthen bank (Wth of base c. 8-15m; int. H 0.3-0.5m; ext. H 0.7-0.8m). There is no visible fosse and the original entrance is not identified.
