What is recorded here

Octagonal limestone gate piers and wrought-iron gate, erected c.1875.
Stone piers of this material and form are to be found at the entrances to many farms and farmyards in Meath. These piers are of significance because they exhibit a degree of craftsmanship which is unusual to find in primarily functional farm related structures. The wrought-iron gate is also of interest, as it also a traditional vernacular form.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
